My husband and I stayed here during the tulip festival and really enjoyed our stay! It was really clean, the room actually smelled good! And the towels were soft and even smelled good. Everything I would recommend! Pleasant staff even !! We never find a place to stay that checked all the boxes. We would stay there again if we return in the future!!!!
I was in town on business. A place like this reminds me of a simpler time. Price is perfect. The room was perfect. It was quiet and relaxing. The owners are super people with the right frame of mind. Clean and just perfect room with a comfortable bed. Clean and updated room and bathroom. 100% happy with this stay.
Simple, clean and quaint! My husband and I stayed this past weekend for a wedding in the area and we were so happy with our experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is construction going on right in front of the motel currently but work was not being done while we were there. We were able to have a fire with family that stayed in the rooms as well and it was a nice way to relax after the long drive. The location is convenient to everything Saugatuck has to offer but just outside of downtown to be away from the busy streets. If we venture back to the area for relaxation we will absolutely be staying here again!
The rooms were super clean, beds were amazing and the sheets soft and cozy. Shower was great. Breakfast was perfect for us as we were on the go to our next location.
Very neat and pretty little motel. Our room smelled actually like new furniture and upholstery. It was quite clean too. There were adequate number of towels, some shampoo, few bars of soap, hair dryer and paper towels too. They have a beautiful big yard surrounded by the neighboring woods, fire pit, bbq grill and picnic tables are available to use. Staff were very friendly and kind people, checking in and out was a breeze. There is plenty of parking. The few cons would be the bed was advertised as queen but I thought it felt smaller, the mini fridge in the room was super loud especially when its cooling period overlapped with the ac fan running. There was a dehumidifier running in the room too which I appreciate the thought but honestly the ac, the dehumidifier, and fridge running at the same time made it really loud in the room. It almost felt like we were in an airplane. We had to turn off the dehumidifier and deal with the rest. Breakfast was a little weak in my opinion, there were no warm foods. Just bagels and crumpets, cereal boxes, yoghurt, fruit and instant oatmeal sachets; not bad at all but just mid.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Captain's Quarters Motel! Very clean, cozy, reasonably priced rooms. FANTASTIC location! It was just a short walk to town to all of the shops and restaurants. An inexpensive shuttle available to Oval Beach, dune rides etc. Highly recommend and will definitely return
Rooms were very very clean and fairly basic, no in room microwave, but a microwave, ice machine and a small library on everything you could ever want to know about boats is available in the open 24 hours room 3. You could tell that this place focused on cleanliness. We asked for recommendations for dinner when checking in and the owner did not disappoint. He gave several options, but not overwhelming. The wife says she would like to come back for her birthday and I'm looking forward to it. Thank you Captains Quarters for a very enjoyable and clean stay.

The owners of this establishment were so kind. They went above and beyond to get us into a room after we had a terrible night at another hotel. The room and the grounds were beautiful and welcoming. They gave us awesome recommendations for food. We slept like babies on that amazing bed. Thank you so much for being kind and sharing your motel with us!
Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Great temperature control, water pressure in the shower, and better than average Continental breakfast in the morning. Nice to park immediately outside our room. Close to everything in Saugatuck -Douglass.
